Harmonic Convergence, Harmonic Concordance or Moronic Disturbance

Well the Harmonic Convergence came and went. It was very significant on an individual level in some charts. The charts of the Queen (Taurus) and Charles (Scorpio with moon in Taurus) were very seriously affected as the lunar eclipse ran from Scorpio to Taurus. For the Queen, it was a time of mixed blessings - the joy of a granddaughter, born within 90 minutes of the eclipse but worrying about rumours in the press concerning the sexuality of her son, Charles were to come to a head.

Just to step back in time - what is the Harmonic Convergence and what were people expecting?

An email from a friend stated...
"November 8, 2003 a total lunar eclipse on the night of the full moon, has been named the Harmonic Concordance, the "bookend" to the Harmonic Convergence that took place in 1987. Coming together where once we diverged!
A sextile in the shape of Star of David will form of six major planets including sun, moon, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Chiron. This event is being heralded by astrologers as the global shift of consciousness we have been anticipating for the past 50 years, a Galactic alignment that will open a multidimensional portal of Divine Consciousness into the Heart and Mind of the omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent Cosmic I AM-All That Is.

It's hard to see how this line up is significant in changing human consciousness especially as it mainly affects the inner planets. The psychologically and spiritually key planets: Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are quite stressed - reflecting the current tension and misunderstanding throughout the world. Personally, I welcome any opportunity for mass change in our planetary consciousness, though I see this coming from major conjunctions between outer planets. The next one is the Jupiter/Pluto conjunction starting in December 2007.

Wild Fires in Southern California Multiple Trines (as occurs at the HC) can look amazing on a chart like a Star of David. But maybe the visuals make it more impressive than it is - Trines have never been known to make much happen - everything flows very smoothly and it can be very negative for some humans - witness the forest fires around the world. Fires spread unchallenged when Trines abound.
